IPC Welcomes Bon Air Animal Hospital in Richmond, Virginia
Once known as a beautiful Victorian resort village, the quaint suburb of Richmond, Virginia, known as Bon Air, still boasts some of its aura from the late 19th century.
In the mid-1800s, resort villages were a popular escape, especially from the heat and humidity and malaria-infected areas. In the early 1870s, Bon Air was established as a resort village as an escape for perceived worn-out city-life “Richmonders.” Bon Air was considered the “good air” because locals could escape the “smoke-choked city” at the time. Being located near the James River but above the rapids, people loved going out to lounge on the river rocks in the summer.
The area today is a blend of remnants with a modern flare of residential, cuisine, and shopping. With the area’s culture, historical presence, impressive options for attractions, culinary, scenic views, and recreation, it was the perfect area for another great addition to our family of hospitals. Innovetive Petcare is excited to welcome Dr. Tom Haney, Dr. Bonnie Cline, and the fantastic team of Bon Air Animal Hospital! Amidst this charming and robust community, where some Victorian homes still stand, is Bon Air Animal Hospital. Bon Air Animal Hospital has provided veterinary services to the Bon Air and surrounding Richmond and Chesterfield areas for over 30 years. Dr. Haney and Dr. Cline took ownership in 2009 and relocated across the street from the original location. They recently completed an expansion, making it a 5,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility equipped with 8 exam rooms.
It is evident this husband-and-wife team are well respected and connected in the community. They are well known for their high-quality standard of care in medicine and surgery; unique multi-faceted care facility; and quality team, culture, and bedside manner. From preventative wellness to dentistry; digital x-rays to ultrasound; and laser therapy to orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery; they are a full-service hospital catering to dogs, cats, and even pet pigs and backyard chickens!
They’ve been hand selected by “Three Best Rated” as one of the Top 3 best-rated veterinary clinics in the Richmond area. These hospitals are subjected to a “50-Point Inspection” that includes customer reviews, history, complaints, ratings, satisfaction, trust, cost, and general excellence. Both Dr. Haney and Dr. Cline began their career in mixed animal practice in the United States but also practiced for a time throughout Africa and Australia. They returned to the states many years ago to continue practicing and to start and raise their family.
