Celebrating International Day of Women in Science

The Women Behind Innovetive Petcare: Celebrating the 2022 International Day of Women & Girls in Science

On February 11th, 2022, Innovetive Petcare celebrated the International Day of Women & Girls in Science by highlighting key women in our practices, from the kennel to the front desk to the doctors, themselves! This day focuses on promoting equal access and opportunities for women, and young girls, in science fields and career paths.

Veterinary medicine has historically been a man’s game, but in recent years we are seeing more and more women come up as doctors, certified technicians, support staff, and the like.

So, what better time for us to highlight some of the incredible women in our practices than on this day?

We asked a few of our key female players across the country what they loved most about their practice, career, and Innovetive Petcare – here’s what they had to say:

“I love the fast pace at Copeland & Flatt, as well as the clients and relationships I have built over the years.”– Kristin Gunnels

“I love the support and community Innovetive Petcare offers. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly! And it seems like they have an answer for everything which is comforting.”– Kit Berry

“My favorite thing about my hospital is the team I’m proud to be a part of. We take our responsibility to pets, clients, and eachother seriously.”

Innovetive Petcare will always continue to support our women in science, and we hope to set an example for all the young women coming up behind them. Afterall…

“There is no force equal to a woman determined to rise” – W.E.B. Dubois

A huge thank you to all the women who help make our practices the successes they are – we couldn’t do it without you!
